Do you still use a Wallet?

Stopped completely in recent months, never carry cash as everywhere takes the tap of the card these days, all my credit cards, donor cards, medical insurance and drivers licence are loaded on the phone.
Have not carried a Rubber Johnny (just in case!) For years.
Seems Wallets are now redundant?

Haven't used a wallet in 20+ years... just keep two or three cards and a couple of notes in my back pocket. Only drawback is the cards wear out sooner but I can live with that.

I tried going to one of those solid card holders that pop up with note holder that folds them in at the weekend.
HATED it.
The cards grind against each other, folded notes look gay. It did fit in a front pocket but apart from that. Bollocks.
Back to a Wallet yesterday.
Effective simple.

One of the things that I have not used for ages is coins.
When I went multinational in the 1990s I got into the habit of chucking any loose change I'd picked up during the day into a jar/pot/mug.
Change of contract/CLIENT often meant change of country where contents of said jar/pot/mug got emptied into one of those charity boxes only real jet-setters notice at airports.

since working from home not touched it. Actually had to go hunting for it the other day to find my driving license.
Even when at work it generally sits in my bag. Use a nice slim card holder for work pass, debit card etc. nothing worse that a bulky wallet showing through a suit...

I do.
Cash, cards (including National Trust, English Heritage and Green Flag).
Also always keep some stamps (don't start) as well.

Ironically, I lost my wallet this afternoon in a KFC in Bristol. Fortunately, an honest member of staff found it and they're posting it to me.

As long as we still need cash and cards I’ll carry a wallet, although that day is coming when you phones digital Wallet will take over, just a matter of time. Wallets don’t run out of battery charge and you need fell service tho so there is that.
Curiously money clips are/were more the thing over here than wallets.

Oof, that's a kick in the nuts. I've done a fair bit of reading over the years on the Mt Gox fiasco, it sounds like it was a massive shitshow behind the scenes and surprising it hadn't been fully pillaged ages before it was. Massive whiff of an inside job too.

No, but decided it was a shame to go to waste, so recycled it. Has now replaced the length of hose pipe in my pants and with excellent results, seems the lady's do prefer girth.

If I'm going , gym, shopping (loyalty cards) or travelling (Eurostar, BA lounge cards etc) I will take them as well. I'd say 4 cards at one time max.
You don't want some bulky shit in your trousers and putting a big fat wallet in them looks really scummy. As for putting them in a jacket pocket you're asking for it to be stolen.
Front pocket every time.
